Why hydroponics, and why indoors
Most people who look at hydroponics want the same thing: herbs and salad that are actually fresh, grown somewhere that has no garden. A flat, a balcony, a north facing kitchen, or a winter that runs from October to April.
Growing without soil solves that. The nutrient solution does what soil does, so the growing happens wherever you have room for a tub and a socket, in whatever month it happens to be.
Three sizes, not one
An eleven site tub for a worktop, a thirty six site kit for a household, and a hundred and eight sites across three tiers when you want to be cutting something every week. Starting small and moving up is a perfectly good plan, and nothing you learn on the small one is wasted.
We also sell the parts that go around a system: a dual head LED grow light for when daylight is not enough, grow tents, and seed trays for the stage before the system.
Being straight about what it is not
A growing system does not by itself make produce organic or change its nutritional value. In the UK, calling food organic when it is sold commercially depends on the grower's practices and on registration with an approved organic control body. What the system does is put the plant close enough that you can cut it and eat it the same day. These systems suit leafy crops and herbs better than root vegetables or heavy fruiting plants. We would rather say that up front than take the order and hear about it later.
How we work
We are an online shop with no physical premises, which is how the prices stay where they are. You order on this site, pay by card through Stripe or by PayPal, and we ship right across the UK. Delivery is free on orders of £50 or more, and a flat £22 under that, arriving 5-7 days after a 24-48 hour handling time.

Everything in the box
Kits arrive with the pump, the channels or tub, the baskets and the sponges. You supply the reservoir, the nutrient solution and the seeds.
Ceiling mounted
Fixes straight to the ceiling rather than the wall, which suits rooms with no wall space above the window or a curtain used to divide a room.
Grow lights and tents
A dual head clip on lamp with a gooseneck and a built in timer, and tents that keep that light on the plants instead of on the walls.
